2013: Named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention ... made 17 appearances with 13 starts ... ranked in the top 10 in the Big 12 in opponent batting average as opposing batters hit just .228 against him ... went 6-1 with a 3.58 ERA ... logged 70.1 innings and struck out 54 batters ... had five games of five or more strikeouts ... earned first-career win vs. Iona (3/16), working six shutout innings and allowing only three hits ... was 3-1 in Big 12 play with wins against Kansas (4/6), TCU (4/13) and Texas Tech (5/5) ... garnered Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors on May 6 following his complete game shutout of Texas Tech in Lubbock ... recorded seven strikeouts and did not allow a walk in the 5-0 win over the Red Raiders ... earned win in NCAA Louisville Regional elimination game against Miami (6/2) ... worked six innings and did not allow an earned run against the Hurricanes ... Pleasant, Texas, for two years ... named an all-conference pitcher in 2010 and all-conference first baseman in 2011 ... as a freshman pitcher was 7-2 with a 2.55 ERA and 71 strikeouts in 67 innings of work ... hit .357 as a sophomore with three home runs, 52 RBIs and went 17-of-21 on stolen base attempts ... also recruited by TCU, Oklahoma, Virginia, USC, Southern Miss and South Alabama.
