2017: Led OSU with 28 appearances, 25 of those coming in relief ... tied for the team lead with three saves and ranked second with five wins and 77 strikeouts ... was twice named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week — March 13 and April 24 ... tabbed a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week on March 13 ... recorded first win of season against Missouri State (3/7) in which he struck out a career-high 10 ... allowed just one run on three hits in seven innings against the Bears ... picked up two wins at No. 4 Texas Tech ... worked 1.1 scoreless frames and struck out three in the series opener (4/21), then helped OSU clinch a series win in the finale by tossing two shutout innings (4/23) ... was the winning pitcher vs. West Virginia (5/27) to move OSU into the Big 12 Championship final ... struck out three in 2.1 innings in that game ... also worked two scoreless frames in the tourney final win over Texas (5/28) ... was named to the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team after pitching in all four games, striking out 10 and allowing only one run in 8.1 innings out of the bullpen ... selected by the Boston Red Sox in the 27th round of the MLB Draft ... an Academic All-Big 12 Second Team performer.
2016: Made 17 relief appearances ... worked two scoreless innings and recorded a pair of strikeouts to earn a win in OSU debut against Incarnate Word (3/1) ... recorded a career-high three strikeouts vs. Oral Roberts (4/12) and equaled that mark against Prairie View A&M (5/7) ... tied career long with two innings at Oklahoma (4/20) ... earned a spot on the Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.
2015: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner at Stillwater High School … earned all-state honors as a senior … two-way player was 9-0 on the mound with a 1.44 ERA in 12 starts … racked up 74 strikeouts and just 11 walks … led team with .471 batting average, 57 hits, 12 doubles, four triples and 31 stolen bases … also had 39 RBIs … led SHS to Class 6A state championship … pitched an eight-inning complete game in the state tournament semifinals, allowing just one earned run and striking out five to get the win … also had three of the Pioneers’ four hits in the game … as a junior was 7-3 with a 1.66 ERA and hit .396 with 16 RBIs … was also an all-state performer in basketball.
PERSONAL: Majoring in sports management … born Dec. 17, 1995 … son of Gary and Pam Teel … has an older brother, Trevor … both parents and brother attended OSU … favorite athletes are Marcus Stroman and Russell Westbrook ... favorite musician is Justin Bieber … enjoys golfing and playing basketball ... favorite baseball moment is going to the College World Series and sweeping the Big 12 tournament as a No. 8 seed ... chose OSU because he always wanted to be a Cowboy so he took the chance when he got it ... dream job is doing something to help kids out.
