2021-22: Was 10-0 and the consensus top-ranked wrestler at 197 pounds before being ruled out for the season following injuries sustained in an automobile accident on January 24 … Had four wins over ranked opponents, including a 4-2 win over No. 5 Stephen Buchanan of Wyoming … Had seven bonus-point wins in 10 matches – three major decisions, two falls and two technical falls … Was also on a three-match bonus-point win streak at the time of his injury.
2020-21: Won his first NCAA individual title with a 4-2 decision over No. 6 Nino Bonaccorsi (Pittsuburgh) at the NCAA Championships... Joined elite company when he became only the third true freshman to win a title, along with Richard Hutton (1947) and Pat Smith (1990)...  Finished his first collegiate season 20-1 with a 10-0 mark in duals... Outscored his opponents 195-55 on the season, only being taken down twice... Went 10-1 against ranked opponents, with his only loss coming to former top-ranked Noah Adams of West Virginia in a 3-2 bout... Won his first Big 12 Championship and was named Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament after knocking off top seed Tanner Sloan (SDSU), 7-1, in the semifinals and No. 2 seed Stephen Buchanan (Wyoming), 13-8, in the finals as the fourth seed... Entered the NCAA Championship as the No. 4 seed in arguably the toughest bracket... Dominated his way to the finals defeating No. 29 Colin McCracken (Kent State), No. 13 Sloan, No. 5 Jacob Warner (Iowa) and No. 1 Myles Amine of Michigan... Recorded eight bonus point wins including five tech falls, two major decisions and one fall... Recorded his first career fall in 3:15 against Dylan Johnson of Little Rock... Won the 92 kg championship at the UWW Junior National Championships in the fall, outscoring his opponents, 37-1... Earned a bid to the U.S. Olympic Trials with his win at the national championships.
High School: Amassed a 96-1 record over his high school career at Allen High School (TX), Blair Academy (N.J.) and Bergen Catholic (N.J.)…Ranked the No. 1 overall wrestler in the class of 2020 at the time of his commitment…A two-time Texas state champion… Was the champion of the Fargo Freestyle and Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournaments in 2017… Earned a bronze medal representing the United States at the 2018 Cadet Freestyle World Championships… Finished first in the Reno Tournament of Champions in 2017 and 2018…Also won the 2018 Junior Folkstyle National Championship...
