2017-18 Season (Sophomore Year)
• Game-by-Game Stats
• Played in all 36 games for the Cowboys, including six starts.
• Led the Cowboys in total assists and assists per game with 104 assists on the season and a 2.9 assists per game average.
• Averaged 6.3 points per game in his sophomore season.
• Threw down a monstrous slam dunk against Charlotte. He earned the No. 3 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 for the dunk.
• Scored 20 points or more twice and put up 10 or more points in nine games for the Cowboys.
• Scored 21 points and had a career-high nine assists against Oral Roberts on Nov. 16.
• Put up a career-high 22 points against Kansas State on Jan. 10. Averette went 8-for-11 from the floor against the Wildcats and assisted on six made baskets.
• Opened the season with four straight games in which he scored in double figures.
• Grabbed at least one rebound in 29 games, including a stretch of six consecutive games with a rebound to start the season.
• Went 6-for-12 from the field against Oklahoma on Jan. 3, which translated to 13 points for the guard.
• Ended his season on a high note with 12 points against Western Kentucky. He also had five assists and four rebounds against the Hilltoppers.

• Second only to Jawun Evans in total assists (60) and assists per game (1.8) on the OSU roster.
• Shot 45.5 percent from 3-point on the year, which trailed only Davon Dillard (.481) among Cowboys with at least 10 makes.
• Named Big 12 Newcomer of the Week (Dec. 12, 2016) for leading the Cowboys to a win at Tulsa in his first career start. Averette posted a game-high 17 points, three rebounds, three assist and three steals.
• Ended the year with averages of 5.2 ppg, 1.5 rpg, 1.8 apg and 0.8 spg.
• Racked up five double-digit scoring games, including back-to-back outings against Georgetown and Rogers State.
• Also helped OSU pick up a win in Bramlage Coliseum with 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting at Kansas State.
• One of just five Cowboys to play in all 33 games in 2016-17.
• Racked up a dozen games with at least three assists, including five assists in both games against Iowa State.
• Hit the go-ahead free throws at TCU with 1:02 remaining to give the Cowboys a key Big 12 road win.
• Coming-out party against Georgetown featured 12 points, four assists and four steals.
• Posted eight multi-steal games on the season.
• Proved a capable free throw shooter at 75.0 percent (39-of-52) on the year.
Richardson High School
• Became the rirst signee of the Underwood era at Oklahoma State on April 14, 2016.
• Led all DFW area 6A players in scoring in 2016 with an average of 22.6 points.
• Two-time District 10-6A Most Valuable Player and a two-time All-Region selection by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC).
• MaxPreps ranked Averette as the No. 17 player in the state of Texas, while 247Sports tabbed him as the No. 20 recruit in the Lone Star state.
• Not just a scorer, Averette also averaged 6.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game in 2015-16.
• Helped Richardson post a 27-7 record as a senior.
• Posted a triple-double against Highland Park with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.
• Earned All-Area second team honors from the Dallas Morning News.
• Originally signed with Underwood at Stephen F. Austin last November following a junior season in which he averaged 18 points, 4.5 rebounds, seven assists and 2.5 steals per game for the Eagles.
