2016: All 24 of his appearances on the season came in relief ... worked a season-high four innings at North Carolina (2/27) ... pitched two scorless frames to earn a win vs. Indiana State (3/5) ... had season-high three strikeouts vs. Dallas Baptist (3/15), which was one shy of career high.
2015: Made six appearances with two starts, working 15.0 innings … missed majority of season with injury and was granted a medical redshirt … first-career start came against Missouri State (2/25) and he worked four scoreless innings with three strikeouts … tossed career-high five innings against Illinois (3/6) and tied career best with four strikeouts.
2014: Made 27 appearances, all in relief ... named to the Big 12 All-Freshman Team ... did not allow a run in his first 24 innings as a collegiate pitcher ... the scoreless streak spanned 12 games ... made debut against Alcorn State (2/19) and worked two scoreless innings with two strikeouts ... picked up first-career win at West Virginia (4/12) ... tossed career-high 4.1 innings against the Mountaineers and allowed just one run ... also recorded a win against Kansas (4/20) with a 3.1-inning effort ... worked 3.0 scoreless frames vs. Texas to earn a win in an elimation game at the Big 12 Baseball Championship (5/24) ... racked up a career-high four strikeouts against the Longhorns ... was the winning pitcher against Cal State Fullerton (6/1) in a game that gave the Cowboys the NCAA Stillwater Regional championship.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was 33-4 with 313 strikeouts in career at VHS … also owned a .344 career batting average … led team to three-state Class 3A championships … 2012 ESPN Oklahoma All-State Team and Oakley All-American … 2011 New Balance All-American and All-Metro Tulsa Team Pitcher of the Year … capped career with senior season that saw him go 7-0 with two saves and a 0.37 ERA … went 8-1 with a 1.25 ERA as a junior … pitched final two innings of state title game to earn save… as a sophomore was 10-2 with a 1.30 ERA … was also an all-conference performer in basketball … also recruited by Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Coastal Carolina, Arkansas, Wichita State and Louisiana Tech.
