STILLWATER – Behind goals from Sonora DeFini and Keaton Mitchell, Oklahoma State defeated Southeast Missouri State, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Neal Patterson Stadium.

With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 3-2-2 on the season, while the Redhawks fell to 1-4-1.

OSU dominated statistically, outshooting the Redhawks 25-1 and owning an 11-2 advantage in corner kicks.

DeFini and Mitchell also recorded assists in the contest, and Avery Bass recorded the first shutout of her OSU career.

The scoring started in the 28^th minute. Taryn Thibeau delivered a cross into the box that Mitchell headed to DeFini, who sent a header into the back of the net for her third goal of the season.

At halftime, OSU held the shot advantage 12-1 and maintained its 1-0 advantage.

OSU sealed the win late in the second half. This time it was DeFini setting up Mitchell for a long range shot from 20-yards out that she buried top shelf to the far post.

DeFini and Mitchell now lead the Cowgirls' offense this season with three goals each. DeFini is one goal shy of her season total from her freshman campaign of a year ago.

Up next, the Cowgirls host their final non-conference game of the season when they take on Central Arkansas Sunday at Neal Patterson Stadium.
