Cowgirl Softball signs All-American catcher Kennedy Proctor

STILLWATER – Former D1Softball First Team Freshman All-America selection Kennedy Proctor has signed with Oklahoma State Softball, head coach Kenny Gajewski announced Wednesday.
Proctor, a rising junior, joins the Cowgirls with two years of eligibility remaining after spending her first two collegiate seasons at the University of Utah.
During her time with the Utes, Proctor posted a .329 batting average and 1.053 OPS over 295 at-bats, as well as 20 home runs, 23 doubles, 69 RBI and 72 runs scored.
"I'm super excited and grateful for the opportunity to become a part of this amazing program this fall," Proctor said. "The coaching staff, support staff and the girls all seem like awesome people; the kind of people that I want to surround myself with."
Proctor established herself as one of the nation's premier first-year talents in 2025, batting .319 with 6 home runs, 28 RBI and a .910 OPS to earn First Team Freshman All-America and Second Team All-Big 12 selections.
Proctor built on her successful freshman season as a sophomore in 2026, producing a breakout second year highlighted by team-leading marks in home runs (14), OPS (1.167), runs scored (49), walks (34), doubles (13) and total bases (113).
A graduate of Tesoro High School in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, Proctor earned First Team All-League selections in both her sophomore and junior seasons. She also earned a First Team All-CIF selection and was twice named Tesoro's team captain.
Proctor is the first transfer to sign with Oklahoma State ahead of the upcoming 2027 season.
