Cowgirl Softball hosts NCAA regional

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State softball team hosts Stanford, Princeton and Eastern Illinois in the NCAA Stillwater Regional played in Cowgirl Stadium this weekend.

Action starts Friday at 1 p.m. CT, when Stanford faces Princeton. The homestanding Cowgirls, who earned the overall No. 13 seed in the national field, hosts Eastern Illinois at 3:30 p.m. CT.

Should OSU advance through the regional, then the Cowgirls would face the winner of the Lincoln regional that includes Nebraska, Louisville, Grand Canyon and South Dakota in a best-of-three super regional the following weekend with a spot at the Women's College World Series on the line.

This marks the sixth time in the last seven seasons that Oklahoma State earned the right to host an NCAA Regional. It is OSU's 10th consecutive trip to the NCAA Softball Championship and its 28th appearance all time. 10 consecutive trips to the NCAA tournament is the second-longest streak in program history, trailing only the record mark of 11 set from 1988-98.

The Stillwater regional is one of 16 held across the country this weekend, each of which involves four teams. The schedule for the Stillwater regional:

Game 1 – 1 p.m. CT – Princeton vs. Stanford (ESPN2)
Game 2 – 3:30 p.m. CT – Eastern Illinois at Oklahoma State (ESPN+)

Saturday, May 16
Game 3 – Noon CT - Winner G1 vs. Winner G2
Game 4 – 2:30 p.m. CT - Loser G1 vs. Loser G2
Game 5 – 5 p.m. CT - Winner G4 vs. Loser G3

Sunday, May 17
Game 6 – 3 p.m. CT - Winner G3 vs. Winner G5
Game 7 – 5:30 p.m. CT - Winner G6 vs. Loser G6 (if necessary)

Sunday, May 10

8 p.m. CT - Orange chairback, black chairback and lower corral season ticket holders receive an email to access the application in their accounts to claim all-session seats.

Tuesday, May 12

Noon CT - Deadline for season ticket holders to claim their seats.
3 p.m. CT – POSSE pre-sale for all-session seats in the bleachers, upper corral and any unclaimed orange chairbacks

Wednesday, May 13

10 a.m. CT – Public on-sale for single-game seats in the bleachers, upper corral and standing room only areas.
10 a.m. CT – Digital tickets appear in accounts
