Cowboys Charge Into Contention During Round Two In Augusta

Day 1 Results
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team fired the round of the day during its second round on Saturday at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational to move into second place at Forest Hills Golf Club.
After opening with a 284 during the morning session, the Cowboys blistered the par-72, 7086-yard layout with a 22-under 266 to rise from 10th into a tie for second place with Notre Dame.at 26-under 550. North Carolina finished as the 36-hole leader at 546.
Georgia's JD Culbreth got to 12-under 132 to lead the individual race by two shots.
Junior Gaven Lane followed a bogey-free 67 with a 68 to share third place at 135. Lane's opening round began on the sixth hole and got off to a quick start with birdies at the seventh and ninth. He would go on to birdie the 11th and 13th before posting his fifth and final birdie of the round at the first.
Junior Ethan Fang carded rounds of 69 and 67 to tie for sixth place at 136.
Junior Preston Stout bounced back from an opening 74 to fire a 65, which included five birdies and two eagles, to tie for 22nd place at 139.
Junior Eric Lee also rallied during round two with a 66 after opening at 75 to stand at 141 and tied for 33rd place.
Sophomore Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson posted scores of 74 and 70 to finish at 144 and tied for 48th place.
OSU will begin its final round tomorrow at 9:40 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with North Carolina and Notre Dame. Live scoring is available at scoreboard.clippd.com
