Jones tabbed Big 12 Freshman of the Week

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball's Aubrey Jones was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week following her impressive weekend at Iowa State, it was announced today.
The Gaylord, Mich., native posted a pair of three-hit performances against the Cyclones as she finished with a .750 batting average to go with a double, a home run and three RBIs on the weekend. Jones led the Cowgirls with a 1.250 slugging percentage and a .778 on-base percentage in three games against Iowa State.
Her .750 batting average led all Big 12 freshmen and ranked third among all conference players.
This is the first weekly award of Jones' career.
Jones and the rest of the Cowgirls return to action this Wednesday, April 15, at 8 p.m. CT against No. 1/1 Oklahoma inside Devon Park in Oklahoma City. The contest will be televised on ESPN2 and can be heard on the Varsity Network app with Ryan Breeden on the call.
