Preston Stout Named Big 12 Golfer of the Week

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Preston Stout has been named the Big 12 Golfer of the Week after his performance in OSU's victory at the Cabo Collegiate.

Stout was dominant in picking up his fourth career victory, firing a 15-under total of 198 at Twin Dolphin Club to cruise to a seven-shot victory. The Richardson, Texas native shared medalist honors at the event last year.

After opening with a 67, he fired an 8-under 63 to take control of the event before sealing the victory with a 68.

In the process, Stout led OSU to a 22-under total of 830 and its second win of the season.

Stout, who has won the past two Big 12 individual titles, captured his second Big 12 in-season award after being named Golfer of the Month last April.

Stout becomes the second Cowboy to receive the honor this year, joining September honoree Ethan Fang.
