Meylan named Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week
March 24, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball's Ruby Meylan earned Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week honors following her 3-0 week in the circle last week, the conference announced today.
Meylan began the week with an eight-strikeout complete-game against No. 17/22 Grand Canyon on Tuesday evening to hand the Lopes their first loss of the season. She then struck out eight Cougars in 5.0 innings of work to secure the win in game one against BYU on Thursday. She followed that performance up with the ninth perfect game in OSU history as she struck out six of the 15 batters she faced and did not allow a ball to leave the infield. It was Meylan's second-career no-hitter, the first of which came against Colorado State on February 20, exactly one month prior to her perfect game.
On the week, the Omaha, Neb., native went 3-0 in four appearances with a 1.67 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 21.0 innings pitched. Her 26 strikeouts were more than any Big 12 team totaled as a team on the week.
She improved to 11-6 on the year with a 2.52 ERA in a Big-12 best 116.2 innings of work.
This marks Meylan's fifth Big 12 weekly award in her two seasons at OSU, and the seventh conference weekly recognition of her career (extending back to her time at Washington).
Meylan and the rest of the Cowgirls hit the road for an in-state midweek contest at Tulsa at 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening before traveling to Utah for a three-game Big 12 series against the Utes from Friday-Sunday.
