Round 2 Results
LOS CABOS, Mexico – Oklahoma State's men's golf team fired a 274 during its second round to stand in second place at the Cabo Collegiate through 36 holes at Twin Dolphin Club.
The Cowboys' 10-under day put them at 554, 14-under par, and three shots off the pace of Arkansas at the par-71-, 7,170-yard layout. Arizona State finished the day in third place at 557.
Preston Stout, who shared medalist honors at the event last year, took command of the individual race, with an 8-under 63. The junior stands at 12-under 130 and six shots clear of the field. Stout's 63 matched former Cowboy All-American Austin Eckroat's mark for the low 18-hole score in tournament history, which he set during the second round in 2019.
Stout opened with three consecutive birdies and added his fourth on the par-4 fifth. He would tack on another birdie at the seventh before ultimately making the turn in 5-under 30. After birdies at Nos. 12 and 13, the All-American sandwiched his lone bogey of the day at the 17th with birdies at the 16th and 18th.
After opening with a 68, junior Eric Lee signed for a 72 to stand at 140 and tied for 16th place.
