Cowboy Wrestling Rolls Little Rock
February 06, 2026 | Cowboy Wrestling
STILLWATER – The No. 3 Oklahoma State wrestling team defeated Little Rock, 41-6, behind seven bonus-point wins on Friday night in Gallagher-Iba Arena.
The Cowboys took eight of 10 bouts, earning bonus points in seven. The win improves OSU to 13-1 on the season, while the loss drops Little Rock to 3-10. Oklahoma State's 41 points marked its most this season.
"When you get deep into the season, and you have this young group of guys or guys that maybe haven't had a ton of experience before, you kind of get boxed in," head coach David Taylor said. "The guys are starting to just believe in their abilities and kind of showcase them, which was good. Another good opportunity for the guys to compete; got to get ready for next week."
In the lone ranked matchup of the night, No. 2 Dee Lockett (165) battled previously unbeaten No. 5 Matty Bianchi. Lockett took early control of the match, tallying a pair of takedowns in the opening period that would prove too much for Bianchi to overcome. The win improves the freshman to 12-0 in his career and is his third-straight win over a top-20 opponent.
No. 7 Alex Facundo (174) and Ronnie Ramirez (133) both won their bouts in the opening period by fall and technical fall, respectively. The win is Facundo's fifth straight and was his first bout against an unranked opponent since December. Additionally, he's earned bonus points in every matchup in which his opponent was unranked.
No. 7 Cody Merrill (197) and No. 7 Landon Robideau both picked up their 12th wins of the season in the victory. Alongside Facundo, Robideau has also picked up bonus points in every bout against an unranked foe. Merrill picked up his first pinfall victory of the season after four in his redshirt year.
On his senior night, Cowboy captain No. 7 Konner Doucet (HWT) picked up his fourth technical fall win of the season over Kaden Darwin. Doucet has now amassed 62 wins over his career, including 12 this season.
At the top of the lineup, No. 7 Troy Spratley (125) and No. 2 Sergio Vega (141) both collected technical fall victories over unranked foes. The win gives Vega his team-leading 13th win of the year, while Spratley's win marks his ninth straight. Spratley has not lost since the National Duals Invitational back in November.
True freshman Beau Hickman (149) dropped his first-career dual bout against No. 23 Brock Herman, 6-5, and Trevor Dopps (197) fell short to Little Rock's Kodiak Cannedy, 8-2.
Next up, the Cowboys hit the road next weekend to face No. 7 Virginia Tech on Sunday, February 15 at 2 p.m. at Cassell Coliseum.
