STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head football coach Eric Morris announced the roster for his first season in Stillwater Wednesday, and it includes more than 80 newcomers joining the Cowboys for the 2026 season.
Â
That group includes 62 incoming transfers that make up the No. 7 transfer class in the nation according to rankings from The Athletic and 247Sports. It was also included in the "10 Biggest Winners in College Football's Transfer Portal for the 2026 Season" by Athlon Sports. The positive momentum has resulted in the Cowboys being included on "Way-Too-Early Top 25" rankings from Pro Football Focus, Sports Illustrated and others.
Â
Additions include quarterback Drew Mestemaker, running back Caleb Hawkins and wide receiver Wyatt Young, who were each named in the top 100 players of the 2025 season by ESPN and in the top 100 transfer portal players for 2026 by CBS Sports. The trio is among 21 players who played under Morris at North Texas and are in Stillwater for the 2026 season. 18 of those were on last year's UNT team and three played for the Mean Green prior to that.
Â
OSU's transfer class is made up of 26 players who have spent at least one season on a Power 4 roster, as well as 51 with FBS experience. A total of 59 players arrived from four-year colleges, while three spent 2025 at the junior college level.
Â
The Cowboys also added 19 high school signees to the 2026 roster, including defensive tackle Savion Barthelemy, defensive end Joey Quinn and wide receiver Dayvon Standard. That group, as well as junior college safety Bobby Deal Jr., signed Wednesday morning to round out OSU's 2026 signing class.
Â
In addition to the newcomers, 24 returners from OSU's 2025 roster remain with the team for 2026. That group includes 12 letterwinners from 2025 and four players who made at least four starts a year ago in offensive lineman Jakobe Sanders, cornerback LaDainian Fields, defensive end Landon Dean and defensive end Malik Charles. Defensive end Jaleel Johnson, safety Cameron Epps and linebacker Trip White also return with at least one OSU start under their belt.
Â
Of the 105 players on the roster as of February 4, 96 are enrolled now and will participate in spring practice. The remaining nine arrive this summer, and there may be more additions.
Â
Oklahoma State opens the season September 5 at Tulsa and the first home game is set for September 12 against College Football Playoff semifinalist Oregon.
Â
Season ticket renewals are available now and due on March 6. New season ticket purchases are also available now, starting as low as $500 plus fees. Fans can take advantage of interest-free payment plans with monthly installments, and can secure tickets now by calling the ticket office at 877-ALL-4-OSU or by visiting www.okstate.com/renew or https://okstate.evenue.net/events/FB-SEASON.
