Rex Holt
Hall Of Fame Crew In The Radio Booth For Cowboy Baseball
February 23, 2026 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State radio broadcasts during the 2026 season will include four hall of famers.
Rex Holt will continue to be the play-by-play voice of Cowboy Baseball in what will mark his 31st season in that full-time role and his 44th season in the booth overall. Holt was inducted into the Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Holt will have a trio of former OSU coaches joining him in the booth as color analysts.
For home games at O'Brate Stadium, Dave Holliday and Gary Ward will split duties.
Ward is the winningest coach in Cowboy Baseball history, posting a career 953-313-1 record in 19 seasons in Stillwater. He led OSU to 10 College World Series appearances and is a member of the National College Baseball Hall of Fame and the Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame.
During Ward's illustrious career in Stillwater, he guided OSU to a record 16 consecutive Big Eight Conference championships from 1981-96. The Cowboys finished as NCAA runner-up three times under Ward (1981, 1987 and 1990).
Dave Holliday was also inducted into the Cowboy Baseball Hall of Fame in 2026. Holliday served as an assistant coach under Ward on some of the winningest teams in OSU history.
With Dave Holliday on staff from 1982-87, the Cowboys went 339-91-1, winning the Big Eight championship each season and advancing to the College World Series every year.
For select road series, Cowboy Baseball Hall of Famer Tom Holliday will join Holt on the air. Holliday serves as the color analyst on OSU's ESPN+ broadcasts for the Cowboys' home games.
After serving as an assistant coach under Ward for nearly two decades during the most successful stretch in program history, Tom Holliday spent seven seasons as OSU's head coach, winning 281 games and leading the Pokes to the 1999 College World Series.
All OSU Baseball games air on the Cowboy Radio Network and The Varsity Network App.
