Cowboy Basketball signee Allmond named McDonald's All-American
February 02, 2026 | Cowboy Basketball
Oklahoma State signee Latrell Allmond has been selected to take part in the 2026 McDonald's All-American Game.
Allmond -- a 6-foot-8 forward out of Petersburg High School in Richmond, Va. – will be the 11th McDonald's All-American to play for the Cowboys, joining a group that includes current NBA standouts Cade Cunningham (2020) and Marcus Smart (2012).
The final group of 24 boys were hand selected by a collection of the game's top analysts, prep scouts, media and coaches, from hundreds of potential high school players.
The 49th annual McDonald's All-Star Game will take place Tuesday, March 31 at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona, with coverage on ESPN.
Allmond has been ranked as high as No. 24 in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports – the highest grade for an OSU recruit since Cunningham in 2020.
Originally from Southern Pines, N.C., Allmond plays his high school ball in Richmond, Viriginia. Through the first 15 games of his senior season, he's tallied 12 double-doubles while averaging 23.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.5 blocks for a Petersburg team that has ranked among the top 25 nationally for much of the season.
Prior to this year, Allmond was a three-time state champion and three-time all-state selection at nearby John Marshall High School, earning VHSL Class 2 Boys Player of the Year honors as a junior while averaging 21.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
Allmond is coming off a standout summer on the 3SSB circuit with Team Loaded VA and also participated in the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp.
He signed with the Cowboys in November over a long list of major programs, including Indiana, Tennessee, Maryland, Michigan State and Kansas.
OSU's 2026 signing class ranks among the top-10 nationally with Allmond joined by four-stars Jalen Montonati (6-7, G, Owasso, Okla. / Owasso HS) and Parker Robinson (6-5, G, Olney, Md. / Overtime Elite).
