Cowboy Golf Finishes Third At Gators Invitational

Final Results
GAINESVILLE, Fla.– Oklahoma State's men's golf earned a third-place finish at the Gators Invitational over the weekend, posting an 838 total at Mark Bostick Golf Course.
The Cowboys' 2-under total over 54 holes at the par-70, 6,701-yard layout was 11 shots off the pace of runner-up Auburn. Host Florida carded a 27-under total of 813 to claim the team title.
Junior Preston Stout led the OSU starting five, tying for seventh place at 4-under 206. Stout opened the event with a 3-under 67, which included a 30 on his inward nine. He would follow with a 69 during his second round before closing with a 70 on Sunday.
After opening with rounds of 71 and 70, junior Eric Lee moved into sole possession of 11th place with a 3-under 67 during his final round to finish at 208.
After signing for a 75 to open play, junior Gaven Lane matched both the tournament and school's 18-hole scoring mark with a 62 during his second round. Lane blistered the front nine with a bogey-free 30, which included birdies at the Nos. 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7. He would birdie the 11th and bounced back from a bogey at the 12th with birdies over four of his next five holes to move to 9-under for the day. He would bogey his closing hole to get to his 8-under total.
Lane would close with a 72 to finish at 209 and tied for 12th place.
Sophomore Filip Fahlberg-Johnsson tied for 40th place at 215 after posting scores of 72, 70 and 73.
Junior Ethan Fang rounded out the OSU starting five, tying for 75th place at 222. His tournament included rounds of 77, 71 and 74.
Redshirt freshman Collin Bond competed individually and finished tied 48th place. Bond posted a 217 total with rounds of 70, 73 and 74.
The Cowboys will be back in action on March 1 when they travel to Mexico for the Cabo Collegiate.
