Early offense pushes Cowgirl Softball past Oklahoma Baptist in fall exhibition
October 13, 2026 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – A strong offensive showcase and dominant bullpen pitching led the Oklahoma State softball team to a 21-2 victory over Oklahoma Baptist in a 10-inning fall exhibition at Cowgirl Stadium on Tuesday evening.
OSU had 20 hits in the contest and scored 15 of its 21 runs in the first three innings to create all the space it needed. Libby Jaques, Kennedy Proctor and Dawson Blue had three hits apiece for the Cowgirls, with Madison Hoffman driving in a team-high four runs.
Makala Smith started in the circle, striking out three over two innings to earn the win. Payton Kennedy, Kennedy Allen, Kendra Lewis and Peyton May pitched two innings apiece in relief and combined to hold the Bison scoreless on just three hits in eight innings of work. May closed the game by striking out five in the final two innings.
The Cowgirls return to action at noon on Saturday, October 17, when they face Arkansas at Bogle Park in Fayetteville.
