LUBBOCK, Texas – Oklahoma State's No. 10 ranked women's tennis team defeated Wichita State, 4-0, as part of ITA Kickoff Weekend on Friday at the Falls Athletic and Tennis Club.

With the win, OSU extended its win streak in season openers to seven and its win streak in regular season matches to 12. The Cowgirls advance to Saturday's ITA Kickoff Weekend final against Texas tech, with a chance to advance to the ITA Indoor National Championships with a win.

Oklahoma State opened the match by taking the doubles point, beginning with Olivia Lincer and Marcela Lopez defeating Sati Aubakirova and Kris. Kudryavtseva, 6-0. Luca Udvardy and Lucia Peyre followed by beating Anne Knuettel and Palmy Vimuktananda, 6-3, clinching the doubles point for the Cowgirls.

Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp's match did not finish, the pair was trailing Wichita State's Giorgia Roselli and Xin Tong Wang, 4-5, when it was stopped.

Singles play saw its first point go to OSU when Nijkamp defeated Knuettel, 6-1, 6-1, on court three before Peyre bested Kudryavtseva, 6-1, 6-1, on court four. Lincer then clinched the Oklahoma State win, defeating Tong Wang, 6-0, 6-4, on court one.

Three singles matches went unfinished, as Komar was in the third set against Roselli, 6-3, 2-6, as Udvardy led Vimuktananda, 2-0 and Lopez led Tatyana Nikolenko, 1-0, when play was stopped.
