June 05, 2025 | Cowboy Golf
IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's men's golf team added to its postseason awards haul on Thursday with the announcement of the Big 12 Men's Golf Awards by the league office.
For the second time, head coach Alan Bratton was tabbed as the league's coach of the year after earning the distinction in 2019 as well. Sophomore Ethan Fang became the ninth Cowboy named as its newcomer of the year.
Fang as well as fellow sophomores Preston Stout and Eric Lee were all named to the 10-player All-Big 12 squad.
All conference awards except for Coach and Scholar-Athlete of the Year were determined using the Clippd rankings system.
Last week, the Cowboys captured the program's 12th national championship, capping a run of five consecutive victories to close the season. Overall, OSU won seven times on the year.
Individually, Fang finished the year with nine top-10 showings and tied for 15th place at the NCAA Championship. Lee tallied six top 10s, which were highlighted by his victory at the Mountaineer Invitational. Stout won twice on the year with wins at the Cabo Collegiate and the Big 12 Championship, where he became just the second player in league history to go back-to-back as Big 12 medalist.
Additionally, the trio all earned All-America status this week from Golfweek with Stout being named a first-team selection, Fang earning second-team recognition and Lee being an honorable mention pick.
