Emma Robbins concludes stellar season with top 5 finish in Hammer Throw at NCAA Outdoor Championships
June 13, 2025 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
EUGENE, Ore. – Emma Robbins capped off her collegiate career with another strong performance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Thursday, placing fourth in the Hammer Throw Final and earning first team All-America honors for the second time.
In her lone season at Oklahoma State, Robbins left a lasting mark on the program. She set school records in both the Hammer and Weight Throw, was the Big 12 runner-up in both events and is one of the most decorated throwers in Cowgirl history. Her toss of 69.27 meters (227'3") came on her first attempt and held up for a fourth-place finish in a highly competitive national field. Robbins also placed fourth in this event in 2023 while at Kansas State, making her one of the nation's most consistent elite performers in the Hammer.
In the 800 Meter Semifinals, Kaylie Politza's hopes of reaching the national final were dashed after getting caught in traffic midway through the race and briefly falling. Despite regaining her footing, the junior couldn't recover the ground necessary to advance, finishing in 2:06.87. Politza's season included the fifth-fastest time in OSU history and a qualification to nationals after a standout effort at the West Prelims.
Josphine Mwaura rounded out the evening for the Cowgirls, finishing 22nd in the 10,000 Meter Final with a time of 35:09.22 in her NCAA Championship debut.
Junior Annie Molenhouse opens Friday's action at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with the first four events of the Heptathlon, followed by Cowboy national champions Fouad Messaoudi and Brian Musau in the men's 5,000 Meters to round out the night. Both Messaoudi and Musau will be looking to secure their second career NCAA titles when they take to the track Friday night.
The entirety of the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be televised on the ESPN family of networks with Friday's finals starting at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN2. Saturday's competition will be televised on ESPNU starting at 8 p.m. Live results for the meet can be found here.
