Cowgirl Soccer Cruises To Pair Of Exhibition Wins

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State was dominant in a pair of spring exhibition matches Saturday at Neal Patterson Stadium as the Cowgirls defeated Mid-America Christian, 6-0, before knocking off Rose State, 8-0.
With the wins, the Cowgirls improved to 5-0-0 on the spring season. Up next, OSU will host Arkansas on Saturday at Neal Patterson Stadium, with kickoff set for noon.
OSU 6, MACU 0
Lexi Lee and Mabry Williams each recorded braces to lift the Cowgirls to a 6-0 win over Mid-America Christian.
After a scoreless first half, the Cowgirls came alive in the second half.
Lee opened the scoring with a tap-in goal in the 49th minute. The Cowgirls then scored five more goals in a 20-minute window to put the game away.
After a goal from Sandrine Brault, Lee added another to secure her brace. Taryn Thibeau extended the lead to four with a goal in the 61st minute, and Williams tallied the last two to cap the scoring.
Caroline Dill recorded a shutout in the contest.
OSU 8, Rose State 0
Led by hat tricks from Lexi Lee and Mabry Williams, OSU routed Rose State by an 8-0 margin.
Williams opened the scoring with 31:53 remaining in the first half. Reganne Morris added the second goal, and Bella Pierotti capped the first-half scoring to give the Cowgirls a 3-0 lead at the break.
After intermission, Williams scored again five minutes into the final half and later added another goal to complete the hat trick.
Lee would turn in a hat trick performance of her own as she found the back of the net three times in the second half.
