Cowgirl Softball falls to UCF

The Cowgirls dipped to 26-15 overall and 7-8 in the Big 12, while the Golden Knights improved to 26-19-1 on the season and 7-10 in the conference.
UCF opened the scoring with nine runs in the first inning, including four on a grand slam from Aubrey Evans.
Megan Bloodworth hit a sacrifice fly to score pinch runner Macy Graf in the second, and Tallen Edwards hit an RBI triple to score Megan Delgadillo and cut the lead to seven. A fielding error in the bottom of the inning allowed the Golden Knights to grab another run.
Amanda Hasler singled in Tia Warsop in the fourth inning and Bloodworth picked up two more RBIs in the fifth to cut the deficit to five, but UCF tallied two more runs in the bottom of the inning.
Micaela Wark singled in Audrey Schneidmiller in the sixth to cap the score at 12-6.
RyLee Crandall dropped to 3-3 with the loss, and UCF's Kaitlyn Felton improved to 11-3.
Offensive standouts for Oklahoma State included Bloodworth (1-for-3 with three RBIs), Edwards (2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI) and Wark (3-for-4 with an RBI.)
The Cowgirls return to action at 11 a.m. tomorrow for the series finale. The game will be live streamed on ESPN+ and can be heard on the Varsity Network app.
