Cowgirl Tennis Rises to No. 20 in ITA Rankings

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's women's tennis team returned to the top 25 in this week's ITA team rankings, coming in at No. 20.
The Cowgirls have won seven consecutive matches, a season-best streak, and are now 14-6 on the year and 8-1 in conference play. OSU is coming off wins at No. 37 TCU and No. 22 Baylor and is one of just three Big 12 teams remaining with only one loss, joining No. 15 Texas Tech and No. 17 UCF.
In the individual rankings, Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp reached No. 6 in the doubles rankings, a season-high for the pair. The court-one duo collected wins over the No. 18 and No. 24 doubles teams in the country last weekend and is now 15-2 on the season with a seven-match win streak.
In the singles poll, Komar is up to No. 61, while Gracie Epps appeared at No. 63 and Marcela Lopez at No. 117. Komar is 11-6 on the year with a 7-2 mark in conference play, while Epps is 12-5 with wins in four straight. Lopez is 5-6 on the season with a 2-2 mark in Big 12 action.
Oklahoma State returns to the Greenwood Tennis Center this week for its final home matches of the regular season, first taking on Utah on Thursday at 5 p.m. before meeting No. 55 BYU on Saturday at 1 p.m., with senior day festivities set to take place after the match.
