March 29, 2025 | Cowgirl Equestrian
IRVING, Texas — Oklahoma State's Riley Hogan has been named the 2024-25 Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year and Big 12 Fences Co-Rider of the Year, the conference announced Saturday.
She is the first rider in the history of the Big 12 to be named the Fences and Flat Rider of the Year.
This is the first time an OSU rider has been named Big 12 Rider of the Year since Hope King in 2022. Hogan becomes the third Cowgirl to earn the honor in multiple events, joining Cowgirl legends Katy Krshka and Harley Huff.
In her senior season, Hogan collected 10 total MOPs and earned four Big 12 Rider of the Month awards. Hogan never took two losses in a row all year in either event.
Hogan finished the season 11-3 in Fences. She collected six MOPs in the event and started the season 6-0. She was named Big 12 Rider of the Month in Fences for the months of October, November and February. Her win against UC Davis made her the program's career leader in Fences wins.
In Flat, Hogan held a record of 11-3 in the regular season. She hit a new career-high of 89.5 in the first meet against TCU. Hogan earned four MOPs in the event and was named the Big 12 Flat Rider of the Month in October.
Hogan will look to continue her success at the NCEA Championships in Ocala, Fla., on April 17-19.
