March 25, 2025 | Cowgirl Softball
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Softball has swept the Big 12 Conference weekly awards as Amanda Hasler received Player of Week honors and Ruby Meylan earned Pitcher of the Week recognition, the conference announced today.
Oklahoma State is the only team in the conference to sweep the weekly awards this season, as Megan Bloodworth and Meylan swept the awards on March 4, and is the first team since Oklahoma in 2023 to sweep the awards multiple times in one season.
Hasler led the Big 12 in batting average (.714), slugging percentage (1.714) and finished tied for first in on-base percentage (.667) on the week after going a combined 5-for-7 with a double, two home runs and eight RBIs across OSU's three games against Baylor. The Avon, Conn., native clinched the series against the Bears with her walk-off solo home run in the ninth inning on Sunday. On the week, Hasler held an OPS of 2.248.
On the year, Hasler is batting .308 with two doubles, six home runs and 13 RBIs while slugging a team-best .692.
Meylan picked up her second conference weekly award of the season after notching two wins against the Bears and not allowing an earned run to go with 17 strikeouts while leading the Big 12 in innings pitched (16.1) on the week. The six-foot righty struck out nine in a complete game four-hitter in game one against the Bears and followed that with her first decision of the weekend after coming in relief in game two and tossing 4.1 innings of two-hit ball. She improved to 2-1 on the weekend in game three with 5.0 innings in relief and five strikeouts to secure the series victory.
On the season, Meylan improved to 12-2 and maintains a 1.03 ERA to go with 113 strikeouts in 88.2 innings pitched.
Hasler, Meylan and the rest of the Cowgirls head to Georgia for four games in four days, first against No. 15/17 Georgia at 6 p.m. CT tomorrow, March 26, in Athens. The contest will be streamed on the SEC Network and can be heard on the Varsity Network app with Ryan Breeden and Lexi Kilfoyl on the call.
