Oklahoma State is 9-7 and coming off a road loss at No. 17 Dallas Baptist on Tuesday.

Up next, the Cowboys open Big 12 Conference play when they host West Virginia at O'Brate Stadium this weekend. A year ago, OSU finished second in the league standings at 19-9 before winning the Big 12 postseason tourney.

OSU is the preseason Big 12 Conference favorite and was ranked as high as #13 in the national preseason polls.

The Pokes own a .280 team batting average and .480 slugging percentage and are averaging just over eight runs per game. Colin Brueggemann leads OSU with a .406 batting average and 25 RBIs.

OSU's pitching staff sports a 3.76 ERA and leads the Big 12 in strikeouts per nine innings at 11.2.

West Virginia is 15-1 under first-year head coach Steve Sabins, who served four seasons on the OSU Baseball staff from 2012-15. The Mountaineers' lone loss came last weekend to Kennesaw State.

The Mountaineers are hitting .326 as a team and averaging over nine runs per game. Three regulars in the WVU starting lineup are hitting over .400 - Skylar King, Gavin Kelly and Brodie Kresser.
