CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Oklahoma State's third-ranked women's tennis team got back in the win column with a 4-0 sweep of Illinois on Saturday in Champaign, Illinois.

The win is the first of the season on the road for the Cowgirls while also snapping a two-match losing streak. OSU will conclude its weekend at the ITA Indoor National Championships against No. 16 LSU on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. CT.

The match began with doubles, with Oklahoma State winning the point. Illinois struck first, however, as McKenna Schaefbauer and Kasia Treiber beat Kylie Collins and Alian Zack, 6-3, on court two.

The Cowgirls answered by winning both other courts, starting with No. 41 Gracie Epps and Marcela Lopez besting Violeta Martinez and Alice Xu, 6-3, on court three before No. 86 Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp defeated No. 61 Megan Heuser and Kida Ferrari on court one, 6-3, to secure the doubles point.

OSU would complete the sweep in singles, winning first sets on all six courts and getting victories on courts two, four and six to clinch the match. Nijkamp was the first to finish, beating Ferrari 6-4, 6-2, before No. 65 Komar bested Heuser, 6-3, 6-2. Zack finished off the win on court six, defeating Treiber, 7-5, 6-3.

Three singles matches were abandoned as the Cowgirl clinched, with Collins leading Schaefbauer 7-6 (7-1), 4-1, No. 40 Epps leading Martinez 7-5, 1-4 and No. 69 Lopez ahead of Ariel Madatali 6-1, 4-4.
