Cowboys Rise to No. 2 in NWCA Coaches Poll
February 04, 2025 | Cowboy Wrestling
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State wrestling team moved up to No. 2 in Tuesday's NWCA Coaches Poll following its 36-3 thumping of then-No. 20 Missouri over the weekend.
After being ranked third in every poll this season, the Cowboys now claim the No. 2 spot for the first time since February 20, 2024. Oklahoma State holds a perfect 12-0 record this season and, following Iowa's defeat last Friday, is joined by Penn State as the only undefeated teams in the country.
Oklahoma State has put together a +317 point differential thus far, its best through 12 duals since 1996-97, and compiled a 47.4% bonus rate as a team, which would be the program's highest in over 90 years. Additionally, Sunday's crowd of 10,740 cemented a season attendance average of 7,597, marking the program's highest single-season amount on record and a nearly 30% increase of its 2024 average.
The Cowboys will make a short trip down to No. 16 Little Rock on Saturday, February 8, for their penultimate dual of the season. That contest is slated for 3 p.m. CT and will be available for streaming on UFC Fight Pass.
