Oklahoma State Indoor Track & Field kicks off postseason action with trip to Lubbock for Big 12 Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas – Oklahoma State Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field head to Lubbock, Texas, to compete in the Big 12 Indoor Championships Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1, at the Texas Tech Sports Performance Center.
Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls enter the conference meet coming off successful regular seasons, with seven school records have been broken a total of ten times already this season.
The 14th-ranked Cowboys are looking to secure their third indoor track & field Big 12 title after two straight second-place finishes. As it currently stands, four Cowboys and the men's Distance Medley Relay would qualify for the NCAA Championships next month. Four men's teams also enter the meet ranked in the top 25 with hosts and defending champions Texas Tech ranked fourth with Cincinnati and Baylor also appearing at No. 21 and No. 25, respectively.
On the women's side, the Cowgirls have placed third or better at each of the last four Big 12 indoor meets, including a second-place finish in 2021 and the program's first conference track & field (indoors or outdoors) in 2023 with a program-record 146 points. Four women's teams also enter the conference championship ranked with No. 2 BYU, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 15 Baylor and No. 23 TCU all sitting in the top 25.
Hosted by Texas Tech, the entire meet will be streamed live on ESPN+ starting at 10 a.m. CT Friday and Saturday. Championship events will begin with the Pentathlon 60-Meter Hurdles at 10 a.m. Friday, while the men's 4x400 Meter Relay will end the proceedings at 5:55 p.m. CT Saturday.
