Oklahoma State is 4-3 and riding a three-game winning streak after sweeping a two-game series against UT Arlington in Stillwater before a midweek win over Abilene Christian in Cleburne, Texas.

OSU is the preseason Big 12 Conference favorite and was ranked as high as #13 in the national preseason polls. This week, the Cowboys are ranked as high as 16th.

The Pokes own a .324 team batting average and .526 slugging percentage. Nolan Schubart ranks fifth in the Big 12 with a .440 batting average and .588 on-base percentage.

OSU's pitching staff sports a 3.39 ERA and leads the Big 12 in strikeouts per nine innings at 12.10.

Up next, OSU travels to Houston to compete in the Astros Foundation College Classic at Daikin Park, where the Cowboys will face a trio of SEC opponents ranked among the nation's top teams. Tennessee is No. 1 in the USA Today coaches poll and is in the top four in four other polls, while Texas A&M is No. 1 in four rankings and No. 2 in another. Mississippi State is ranked as high as No. 15.

Tennessee is 8-0 on the season and coming off a midweek win over North Alabama. The Volunteers are hitting .356 as a team and lead the NCAA with 21 home runs, while its pitching staff carries a 1.89 ERA and leads the nation with 14.4 strikeouts per nine innings.

The Cowboys are 1-4 all time against Tennessee. The last meeting came at the 2005 Minute Maid Classic in Houston.

Texas A&M has dropped its last two games at home, to Cal Poly and Texas State, and is 5-2 on the season. The Aggies are hitting .258 as a team, while their pitching staff owns a 3.30 ERA.

The Cowboys are 35-33 all time against former Big 12 Conference foe TAMU. The Aggies have won nine of the last 10 matchups dating back to 2010, but the Cowboys were victorious in the last meeting, which came in 2020 at the Frisco College Baseball Classic in Frisco, Texas.

Mississippi State enters the tourney with a 6-2 mark and coming off a midweek loss to No. 21 Troy in Starkville. The Bulldogs are hitting .294 as a team, while the pitching staff has posted a 2.42 ERA.

Despite being two of college baseball's most storied programs, OSU and Mississippi State have only met twice previously on the diamond, with each team winning a game. The last meeting came at the 1985 College World Series with the Bulldogs winning that contest.
