CONWAY, Ark. – A 3-for-3 day from Megan Bloodworth and a two-RBI single from Rosie Davis contributed to No. 13 Oklahoma State Softball's 9-5 win over Central Arkansas on Monday at Farris Field.

The Cowgirls improved to 8-4 overall with the win. The Bears drop to 4-8 on the season.

Davis gave Oklahoma State an early lead with a solo home run in the first inning.

Central Arkansas responded in the bottom of the first with a bases-loaded walk and a two-RBI single to take the lead. The Bears added two more runs in the first off of an RBI single and an error with bases loaded.

The Cowgirls grabbed two runs in the third inning thanks to a Tallen Edwards long double to score Tia Warsop and a single from Megan Bloodworth to score Edwards.

Bloodworth cut the deficit to one run with a solo homer in the fifth.

Pinch runner Tara Vandewater tied up the game in the sixth inning after a Central Arkansas error allowed her to score. Bloodworth took the lead for Oklahoma State with a two RBI single to score Edwards and Warsop, and Davis pushed the lead to four runs by singling in Bloodworth and Megan Delgadillo.

Ruby Meylan grabbed the win in relief for the Cowgirls and improved to 3-0 on the year. Bailie Runner took the loss for Central Arkansas and dropped to 2-5.

Offensive standouts for Oklahoma State included Bloodworth (3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs), Davis (2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs) and Edwards (1-for-3 with an RBI.)

The Cowgirls return to action at 2:30 p.m. CT on February 27th against South Dakota State at the Shocker Invitational in Wichita, KS.
