Oklahoma State is 1-3 on the season after opening the year with four games at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. The Cowboys are ranked as high as No. 17 in the national polls.

OSU will host UT Arlington for its 2025 home opener Sunday at O'Brate Stadium as the two teams will square off in a rescheduled two-game series. The two were originally scheduled for a three-game set Friday-Sunday, but weather forced the schedule to be altered.

The Cowboys are 19-6 all time against UT Arlington. The last meeting came in 2016 in Arlington, with the teams splitting a pair of games at the UTA Tournament.

Under Josh Holliday, OSU has won two of its three previous meetings with UT Arlington.

OSU has won 70 percent of its home games under head coach Josh Holliday, turning in a record of 235-100-2.

OSU is 12-0 in home openers under head coach Josh Holliday and has won 20 consecutive home openers. The last time the Cowboys lost their home season opener came on Feb. 13, 2004, when they dropped a 5-3 contest to Eastern Michigan at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.

In 2024, the Cowboys played 30 games at O'Brate Stadium and posted a .308 team batting average while smashing 76 of their 118 home runs on the season. Nolan Schubart hit .430 with 13 homers in Stillwater, while Aidan Meola homered seven times and recorded a .390 batting average.

The Cowboy pitching staff turned in a 4.03 ERA at O'Brate Stadium in 2024; opponents posted a 9.10 ERA.

UT Arlington opened the season by taking 2-of-3 games at home against UTSA; the Mavericks had a midweek game against Oklahoma scheduled for Wednesday at Globe Life Field, but it was postponed due to weather.

Mike Trapasso is in his first season as the Mavericks' head coach. Trapasso was previously a head coach at Hawaii from 2002-21 and posted a 536-531 record with the Rainbows.

Trapasso pitched on two College World Series teams at Oklahoma State in 1984 and 1985, going 11-4 with four saves in 39 appearances. He led the Big Eight with a 1.38 ERA in '84.
