Cowgirl Indoor Track & Field heads back to Arkansas for prestigious Tyson Invitational

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field travels back to Fayetteville, Ark., for the third time this season to compete in the Tyson Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Tyson Track Center.
Headlining the proceedings are a quartet of Cowboys in the men's 3,000 Meters Friday night, as NCAA champions Fouad Messaoudi, Brian Musau, Ryan Schoppe and multi-time All-American Denis Kipngetich are all attempting to earn national championship qualifiers.
Messaoudi won the national title in the 3,000 Meters in 2023 and kicked off this season with a school record in the Mile two weeks ago at the Razorback Invitational. Musau has also had a dominant season thus far, earning All-America honors in cross country and immediately following that performance with a record-setting mark in the 5,000 Meters of 13:11.29, which is the program record. Schoppe was an All-American in the 3,000 Meters in 2024 and was the anchor on both of OSU's back-to-back national titles in the Distance Medley Relay.
School-record holder Mehdi Yanouri will also be looking to punch his ticket to the NCAA Championships in the 800 Meters. Yanouri currently holds the 16th and final qualifying time in the country but is primed to run another personal-best mark.
On the women's side, a trio of Cowgirls are heading to Boston to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational Saturday looking to earn NCAA qualifying marks in their respective events. Kaylie Politza (800 Meters,), Sivan Auerbach (Mile) and Victoria Lagat (3,000 & 5,000 Meters) are each sitting with marks on the outside-looking-in but are withing striking distance of the 16th-best marks.
Over in Arkansas, a pair of school-record holders in Saara Hakanen (High Jump) and Emma Robbins (Weight Throw) will be competing looking so extend their program bests. Robbins also currently sits 16th in the NCAA in the Weight with the opportunity to move her way up the NCAA list this weekend.
The Tyson Invitational will be streamed live on SEC Network+ both days starting at 4:00 p.m. CT on Friday and Noon CT on Saturday. The Valentine Invitational will appear on FloTrack starting at 8 a.m. CT on Saturday.
