Cowgirl Catalyst: Gray Drops 20 En Route to Win Over Tulsa
December 15, 2025 | Cowgirl Basketball
STILLWATER – Micah Gray led the way for the Cowgirls with her third consecutive 20-point game en route to a victory over Tulsa.
Gray and the Cowgirls bounced back and responded in a big way, taking down Tulsa by 32.
"It felt really good," Gray said. "We just got back to what we know, and what we used to do."
Gray has been a force for the Cowgirls, leading the team in points per game and ties for second on the team with 35 made 3-pointers on the season. She only added to those numbers today, putting up a team-high 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor and earning yet another team-high of +32.
The Oklahoma native was able to take down the Cowgirls in-state-rival with the help of her aggressive nature. Offensively, Gray drove the ball at a high rate, snagging 12 of her 20 points in the paint. On the defensive side, she made it difficult for the Golden Hurricane to get going, grabbing two steals in the contest.
"Just attacking the hole," Gray said. "They have to guard me on my shots, so just attacking the hole, attacking their close-outs."
Gray and the Cowgirls head to Cincinnati on Sunday for a matchup with the Bearcats to open Big 12 play.
"Baylor is a great team, and Cincinnati is a great team," Gray said. "So just staying on our P's and Q's and just doing what we know how to do."
