Game Flow
- For the third straight game, Oklahoma State held a lead at the end of the first quarter. This time, it was 7-0, thanks to a five-yard touchdown pass from Zane Flores to Gavin Freeman to cap the opening drive of the game.
- Following a six-yard touchdown run from Zane Flores with 50 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Oklahoma State took a 14-0 lead into the locker room at halftime for its first lead at intermission since the season-opener against UT Martin. It marked the first time the Cowboys held a Big 12 opponent scoreless in the first half since they did so against Baylor in week five of the 2021 season.
- The Oklahoma State defense forced two turnovers and three punts in UCF's five first-half possessions. The Cowboys held the Knights to a one-for-four showing on third down in the first half.
- UCF got on the board with an 83-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the second half to turn the momentum. The Knights limited the Cowboys to only five yards of total offense in the third quarter, but OSU's advantage on the scoreboard remained 14-7 entering the final stanza.
