Game Flow

Oklahoma State held a 3-0 lead after the first quarter and limited Kansas State to just 10 yards of offense in the opening quarter.
The defensive battle continued into the break as the Wildcats took a 7-6 lead into halftime.
Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter and combined for only eight first downs in the quarter.
The Wildcats found the back of the endzone in the fourth quarter to secure their first win in Stillwater since 2017 and just their second since 1999.

Saturday's game was the seventh for Oklahoma State interim head coach Doug Meacham, who stepped into the role after OSU and 21-year head coach Mike Gundy parted ways on September 23.
Oklahoma State held Kansas State to 107 yards rushing, 177 yards passing and 284 yards of total offense. The Wildcats entered the game averaging 141.2 yards rushing, 221.2 yards passing and 362.4 yards of total offense.
The Wildcats totaled 284 offensive yards, the lowest amount of yards the OSU defense has allowed against a conference opponent since 2021.
Oklahoma State held Kansas State to 107 yards rushing. When the two teams met last season, the Wildcats rushed for 300 yards.
The Cowboys limited Kansas State to 10 plays for 10 yards of offense in the first quarter - marking the first time since Aug. 30, 2018 against Missouri State that OSU held its opponent to 10 yards or less in the first quarter (nine).

The OSU defense was effective in slowing down KSU quarterback Avery Johnson, holding the standout junior to 203 total yards of offense while allowing one touchdown and forcing an interception.
Parker Robertson enjoyed a standout performance against the Wildcats.
- He recorded his first career sack with 7:58 remaining in the first quarter.
- Robertson picked off Kansas State's Avery Johnson on their first possession out of the half to notch the fourth interception of his career - and second of the season.
Gavin Freeman led the Cowboys with five receptions, his sixth straight game doing so and the seventh time this season.
Rodney Fields Jr. eclipsed the 1,000 total yards mark in his career, rushing for 51 yards to go with his 46 receiving yards.
