Cowboys In The NFL: Week Eight

STILLWATER – Several Cowboy Football alumni left their marks on Week Eight of the 2025 NFL regular season, highlighted by a career-best performance from Ollie Gordon II.

Gordon, a sixth-round pick in April's draft, posted career highs in both touches (11) and scrimmage yards (66) and scored the first receiving touchdown of his young career on Sunday. The 2023 Doak Walker Award winner turned 10 carries into 46 yards and high-stepped into the endzone on his lone reception of the day for a 20-yard score.

The rookie's strong performance helped the Miami Dolphins to a dominant 34-10 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Gordon and the Dolphins return home Thursday for a prime-time matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and their Pro Poke duo of Justice Hill and Tylan Wallace, with kickoff set for 7:15 p.m. CDT.

Chuba Hubbard added a score of his own, cashing in from three yards out for his first rushing touchdown of the year. Hubbard finished the day with 12 carries for 34 yards and will look to continue his scoring streak next week as the Panthers travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers next Sunday at noon CDT.

Jaylen Warren received double-digit touches for the sixth time in six games this season, rushing 13 times for 62 yards and adding 2 receptions for 11 yards through the air. The fourth year running back is currently averaging 94.67 all-purpose yards per game, excelling in his first season as the Pittsburgh Steelers' lead back. The 4-3 Steelers are set to face the red-hot Indianapolis Colts next Sunday at noon CDT.
