Oklahoma State Cross Country set to host Weis-Crockett Invitational

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State men's and women's cross country concludes regular season action Friday morning as they host the 3rd annual Weis-Crockett Invitational at the state-of-the-art Greiner Family Cross Country Course in Stillwater.
The Cowboys and Cowgirls will each compete in a de-facto dual meet with Oral Roberts as they wrap up regular season play. Action at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course kicks off with the men's 8K starting at 8:30 a.m. CT, immediately followed by the women's 6K at 9:15 a.m.
Two-time cross country All-Americans Fouad Messaoudi and Brian Musau will be making their 2025 cross country debuts as the No. 21 and No. 2 ranked runners in the country according to FloTrack. The OSU men are 2-0 on the season with wins at the Cowboy Preview (exh.) and Cowboy Jamboree, with No. 3 Denis Kipngetich winning his second Jamboree in three years back in September.
The Cowboys enter the Weis-Crockett Invitational ranked No. 2 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll, behind only Iowa State, after defeating second-ranked New Mexico at the Jamboree.
On the women's side, the Cowgirls are up to No. 8 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll, their highest ranking in two years, following their second-place finish to No. 1 BYU at the Jamboree. OSU knocked off No. 3 New Mexico at the time, with No. 26 Isca Chelangat winning the individual title in her freshman debut for the Cowgirls.
At last year's meet, the Cowboys and Cowgirls swept the individual and team titles, with Denis Kipngetich and Lauren Ping winning the individual races. Billah Jepkirui also won the inaugural 2022 edition of the meet in her Cowgirl cross country debut.
