Series History: Razorbacks Return to Stillwater
September 06, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State and Arkansas will play for the first time since 1980 this Saturday in Stillwater.
The programs have met 46 times dating back to 1912 but have not played in 44 years, despite the Razorbacks being the closest out-of-state FBS team to Stillwater.
Arkansas leads the all-time series, 30-15-1, including each of the last five and 10 of the last 13. The Razorbacks also hold the longest win streak in the series, having won 10-straight from 1955-66.
This is just the 10th time the teams will play in Stillwater, with previous games having also been played in Fayetteville, Fort Smith and Little Rock. The first nine were split, 4-4-1, with Arkansas winning the most recent, 19-7, in 1978.
Mike Gundy has never faced Arkansas and Razorback head coach Sam Pittman has never played against Oklahoma State. Gundy will look to earn his 26th win against an SEC opponent and improve to 66-16 in non-conference games in his career.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. on Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium, with the game to be broadcast on ABC and carried live on the Cowboy Radio Network.
