September 24, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – A plethora of former Cowboys turned in notable performances during week three of the NFL season last week. A look at some of the highlights:
It was a pretty good weekend to be Chuba Hubbard. The former First Team All-American and his Carolina Panthers trounced the Las Vegas Raiders 36-22 last week on the road off the back of a career day from Hubbard. He hauled in his first touchdown of the season with that six-yard grab and totaled 55 yards through the air on five receptions, while he rushed for with 114 yards on 21 carries on the ground. Hubbard set a new single-game career high for all-purpose yards with 169 combined yards and is also now seventh on the Panthers all-time rushing list. Hubbard and the Panthers will look to keep their momentum going this week as they welcome the Cincinnati Bengals to town on Sunday with a noon kickoff.
Malcolm Rodriguez turned in a solid performance as he helped lead his Detroit Lions to a 20-13 victory on the road over the Arizona Cardinals. Rodriguez combined for five tackles, four assisted and one solo, his best performance of the young season so far. He'll hope to build on that performance this week as they host the Seattle Seahawks on next week's edition of Monday Night Football, with kickoff set for 7:15.
Fresh off signing a new contract extension, Justice Hill and his Baltimore Ravens went to work this week on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, heading back to Baltimore with a 28-25 win. Hill rushed for 33 yards on five carries and added 21 yards on a pair of receptions. Hill and his Ravens will be back in action this week for a primetime Sunday night contest against the Buffalo Bills, slated for a 7:20 start time.
