Trey Rucker Named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State safety Trey Rucker was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Cowboys' win over South Dakota State to open the 2024 football season.

Rucker finished the game against the defending FCS national champions with 15 total tackles and nine solo stops, both of which rank No. 1 among power conference players in a game this season. His total tackles and solo tackles numbers also set career highs.

It marks the second career Big 12 weekly award for Rucker, who also received recognition following his performance in OSU's win over BYU to close the 2023 regular season.
