Cowboys in the NFL: Week Two
September 18, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Numerous former Cowboy Football stars turned in solid performances as week two of the NFL season came and went last week. A look at some of the highlights:
After dealing with a nagging hamstring injury that hindered his performance in week one, Jaylen Warren returned to good form (and good health) with a sturdy performance against the Denver Broncos in week two. Warren helped lead his Steelers to a 13-6 victory on the road over the Broncos as he chipped in with 42 yards on nine carries and added two receptions for 19 yards. Warren and the Steelers will look to improve to 3-0 this week as they welcome the Los Angeles Chargers to Pittsburgh for a noon kickoff on Sunday.
Sticking on the ground, former Poke Chuba Hubbard turned in a solid day against the Los Angeles Chargers. Hubbard rushed for 64 yards on 10 carries and caught four balls for 12 yards as him and the Panthers fell to the Chargers, 26-3. They'll hope to bounce back and get on the right track this week as they hit the road to face off against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m.
Rounding it out, Justice Hill and his Baltimore Ravens narrowly dropped their home opener, but that didn't stop Hill from putting in a good performance. The former Cowboy ran for 22 yards with only 5 carries, and made his presence felt through the air with two receptions for 10 yards. They'll look to rebound this week with a tough matchup on the road against the Dallas Cowboys, with kickoff slated for 3:25 p.m. on Sunday.
