STILLWATER – Oklahoma State had two players pick up weekly awards for their performances in Week Two.
Bella Pierotti was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week, while Mollie Breiner earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week for the second consecutive week.
Pierotti came off the bench in both OSU wins last week to help the Cowgirls to their first 4-0-0 start since 2017.
Against Bedlam rival Oklahoma, Pierotti scored her first collegiate goal in the 39th minute to propel OSU to a 1-0 victory as the Cowgirls improved to 32-10-5 all time against the Sooners.
A midfielder, Pierotti played a career-high 49 minutes and recorded a pair of shots in Sunday's win at Central Arkansas.
Breiner continued to anchor an OSU defense that has not allowed a goal this season and also chipped in at the offensive end.
A fifth-year senior defender from Broken Arrow, Okla., Breiner played all 90 minutes in the shutout of OU as the Cowgirls' defense faced 17 shots and nine corner kicks.
In Sunday's win at UCA, Breiner netted her first goal of the season, heading in a corner kick for OSU's second goal in the 4-0 triumph.
OSU's four consecutive shutouts to open the season is a program record.
