August 01, 2024 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State wide receiver Brennan Presley is one of 48 players on the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award, the Louisville Sports Commission announced today.
Now in its 15th season, the Paul Hornung Award is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football. Presley is part of the Big 12 Conference's nation-leading 11 total selections on the list.
One of the biggest playmakers on the roster, Presley has excelled on offense and special teams throughout his four years at Oklahoma State. He enters the 2024 season boasting some of the best career numbers in OSU history, ranking fourth in career catches with 225, seventh in receiving yards with 2,548 yards and 12th in receiving touchdowns with 16. Presley's 1,219 career kickoff return yards places him fifth on the all-time OSU list and is just outside the top 10 in all-purpose yards with 4,108.
In 2023, Presley recorded 101 catches for 991 yards and six touchdowns while adding 41 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the ground. He also set career-highs with 20 kickoff returns for 411 yards alongside 44 yards on punt returns. Following the season, the league's head coaches named Presley to the second team as a wide receiver and honorable mention as a returner.
The award's finalists will be revealed on November 7, approximately a month before the winner is announced on December 11.
Presley is the seventh Cowboy to receive watch list honors, as Ollie Gordon II, Joe Michalski, Dalton Cooper, Nick Martin, Collin Oliver and Alan Bowman have all been recognized for various awards.
