STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has signed Micah Gray, a native of Oklahoma City and a Seton Hall transfer, it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jacie Hoyt.
"We are thrilled to bring Micah back to her home state! Oklahoma kids are very important to us and to add one of Micah's caliber is exciting," Hoyt said.
"Her shooting and scoring ability will fit perfectly into the way we want to play offensively. Most importantly, she's got the character and drive that's a perfect fit for our Cowgirl culture."
A 5-8 guard, Gray started all 31 games in which she played for the Pirates this past year and finished as the squad's second-leading scorer at 11.9 points per outing. For the year, she had four 20-point outings, including a 24-point performance at Princeton.
As a freshman in 2022-23, Gray competed for Texas Southern where she was named the Southwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year, making her the first player from the program to receive the distinction since 2013. She was also tabbed as a second-team All-SWAC selection after finishing as the squad's leading scorer at 16.7 points per game.
Among her standout performances during her freshman campaign was a 41-point outburst at Arkansas-Pine Bluff and a 33-point showing at UCF. On two occasions, she was named the SWAC Player of the Week and was tabbed as the SWAC Impact Player of the Week once.
As a prep standout at Classen SAS in Oklahoma City, she was a 1,000-point scorer and helped lead her squad to the Class 4A state title in 2022. In addition to honorable mention all-state honors, she was named the All-City Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
