Cowboys Head To Arizona For Thunderbird Collegiate

PHOENIX – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will close out its regular season this week when it takes part in the Thunderbird Collegiate at Papago Golf Course.
The Cowboys, who are coming off a third-place showing at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational last weekend, will be one of seventeen teams in action at the par-71, 7,551-yard layout. Hosted by Arizona State, the tournament will consist of 54 holes with 36 being played on Friday and 18 being contested on Saturday. Tee times will begin at 6:45 a.m. (AZT) each day.
OSU will utilize a starting five consisting of seniors Bo Jin and Jonas Baumgartner, fifth year Rayhan Thomas and freshmen Preston Stout and Gaven Lane. Fifth year Dillon Stewart will compete individually.
Jin is coming off a runner-up performance in Augusta after closing with a 66 during his final round.
The Cowboys have won the Thunderbird team title on four occasions, but will be looking for their first since 1988. OSU also won the tournament in 1974, 1977 and 1983.
Individually, Anders Hultman (2001), Michael Bradley (1988), Willie Wood (1983) and Lindy Miller (1977) have all captured medalist honors at the event.
