Cowgirl Duo Earns All-Conference Honors

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team had a pair of players honored on Tuesday with the announcement of the Phillips 66 All-Big 12 women's basketball awards by the league office.
Voted on by the league's head coaches, Anna Gret Asi was recognized with honorable mention all-league honors, while Stailee Heard was named to the league's all-freshman team.
Asi has started all 29 of OSU's contests this season, averaging 12.7 points and 3.2 rebounds per contest. Additionally, she has dished out a team-best 134 assists and recorded a team-high 43 steals.
A junior from Tartu, Estonia, Asi ranks 20th among league players in scoring and is fifth with her 4.6 assists per contest. She also ranks among the top 10 with her 2.1 made 3-pointers per outing, which is seventh among Big 12 players. Asi checks in at No. 14 in assist-turnover ratio as well at 1.44.
Heard made an immediate impact upon her arrival in Stillwater, logging a double-double in OSU's season opener to become the first Cowgirl freshman to do so in her debut since 1993. A native of Sapulpa, Okla., she has started all 29 of OSU's games and is currently second on the squad in scoring at 13.0 points per game and is first with her 6.0 rebounds per contest.
Her scoring average is 17th among league players and her rebounding average stands at No. 15.
A two-time Big 12 Freshman of the Week pick, Heard became the eighth Cowgirl in program history to be named to the league's all-freshman squad.
