STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team had a pair of players honored for their work in the classroom this week with the announcement of the 2023-24 Academic All-District Women's Basketball teams as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Anna Gret Asi and Rylee Langerman both received the distinction, which serves to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom.
This past season, Asi earned honorable mention All-Big 12 status after starting all 30 of the Cowgirls' contests. The Tartu, Estonia native averaged 12.7 points and 3.4 rebounds on the year while logging team highs with 139 assists and 44 steals.
Academically, Asi has achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA over seven collegiate semesters and is a two-time OSU Academic Achievement Award recipient. Additionally, she has twice been named to the President's Honor Roll and was named to the Dean's Honor Roll last fall.
Langerman joined the Cowgirl program this past year after spending her first three seasons at Arkansas. A native of Norman, Okla., she played in 29 games and made four starts for OSU. She averaged 4.9 points and 3.9 rebounds on the year.
An Academic All-District selection a year ago as well, Langerman has had six total semesters with a 4.0 GPA, including last fall at OSU. A two-time SEC Community Service Team recipient at Arkansas, Langerman has maintained a 3.95 GPA overall during her collegiate career.
First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 16.
